Ecology and sustainability
Being an international benchmark in the tanning sector entails great responsibilities towards customers, our workforce and the local area in general. Since 1946 our tannery has invested energy and resources to adopt solutions that ever more effectively reduce the environmental impact of leather processing.
Environmental commitment Health and environment
Safety and health at work have always been one of our main concerns. For this reason we have constantly renewed our facilities, always purchasing state-of-the-art machinery to create a climate-controlled, healthy environment for all our employees.
Pollution is a significant problem, so it is important to strictly comply with discharge parameters. Vegetable leather production helps protect nature and the environment, since the tanning substances used are natural (vegetable extracts), while the fat-liquoring oils and animal fats are more easily purified and allow us to create eco-friendly leathers. The treatment of the tannery's wastewater is connected to the Santa Croce sull'Arno Water Treatment Consortium, one of the largest and most efficient in Europe.

Quality · Environment
The tannery operates with an integrated management system that, through meetings of managers from different areas, fosters integrated communication of business processes and provides a reference for achieving objectives, solving problems or evaluating proposals. This organisation ensures sound strategic business planning, the achievement of set objectives and obtaining and maintaining System Certifications.
